Anne Allison
Anne has over two decades of experience in educational leadership, having served as both a headteacher and executive headteacher across several primary schools in East Sussex. Her leadership journey spanned twenty years, during which she developed a deep understanding of school improvement, strategic planning, and governance.
In September 2017, Anne transitioned into the role of an independent education consultant. Since then, she has worked extensively as a School Improvement Partner, supporting a number of schools within East Sussex. Her work involves providing tailored guidance to school leaders, helping to drive educational standards and improve outcomes for pupils.
In addition to her role as a School Improvement Partner, Anne offers a broad range of support services to schools within the local authority. She has served on multiple Interim Executive Boards (IEBs), frequently taking on the role of Chair, where she has provided strong leadership during periods of significant change or challenge. Anne also contributes to progress groups and acts as the Director's representative, advising governing boards on the recruitment and appointment of new headteachers.
Anne's commitment to school governance spans many years. She has held various governance roles, including as a headteacher governor, a local authority-appointed governor, and an associate member representing the local authority. Her extensive experience in both school leadership and governance makes her a highly respected and trusted figure in the education sector.

Daniel Whistler
Daniel is a dedicated professor at a local university, where he plays a key role within a broader education leadership team committed to delivering a high-quality student experience across multiple subject areas. His passion for academic excellence and student success is reflected in both his teaching and strategic contributions.
Beyond the university, Daniel brings his expertise to national education bodies. He undertakes consultancy work for the Office for Students and the UK Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency, serving as a quality and standards assessor. His influence on the sector is further demonstrated by his role as a co-author of a section of the UK Quality Code for Higher Education—a cornerstone of academic standards and quality assurance in the UK.
Daniel's impact also extends to pre-university education, having previously worked as a consultant on the redesign of AQA A-level syllabi. His work continues to shape the educational landscape, ensuring that both higher and secondary education maintain rigorous standards and remain responsive to the needs of learners.

Ian Buchanan
Ian Buchanan is a dynamic and dedicated professional with over ten years of experience in the higher education sector, where he made a significant impact through his work at University College London (UCL). During his time at UCL, Ian played a key role in supporting academic delivery — contributing to class planning and management, designing assessments, and developing systems that enabled innovative teaching approaches. His work consistently demonstrated a thoughtful, student-focused approach and a commitment to educational excellence.
After a successful career in research science, Ian has embarked on an exciting new chapter, retraining to become a barrister. This transition reflects his deep-rooted passion for justice, advocacy, and public service. His legal aspirations are underpinned by a strong foundation in analytical thinking and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Ian is also a passionate advocate for equality and inclusion. His involvement with Athena Swan, UCL's gender equality initiative, allowed him to contribute meaningfully to institutional efforts aimed at promoting fairness and representation in academia. In addition, his volunteer work with Advocate, the official charity of the Bar of England and Wales, highlights his commitment to ensuring access to justice for those who need it most.

Trevor NobleCommunity Governor
Trevor Noble
Trevor has over 35 years of extensive experience in the Electrical and Engineering industries, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to professional excellence and industry leadership. As a dedicated and hardworking educator, Trevor is passionate about delivering high-quality training that prepares students for real-world challenges.
In his role as Senior BSE Lecturer for T-Levels, Trevor leads curriculum development in partnership with employer boards across Construction, BSE, and Engineering sectors. He specialises in delivering technical qualifications for apprenticeships and adult learners, ensuring programmes are aligned with current industry standards and requirements.
Trevor's leadership style is dynamic and inspiring, fostering an inclusive learning environment that values practical, hands-on experiences. He emphasises critical thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement to motivate students and equip them with the essential skills needed for their future careers.
With a deep understanding of professional duties, legal responsibilities, and educational obligations, Trevor has mentored and coordinated with managers across various curriculum areas. His commitment to student success and industry relevance makes him a vital contributor to shaping the next generation of professionals in BSE, Engineering, and Construction.
